I saw this mentioned in another thread and had a thought. I can't say that I'm ever offended by posts with tutorial links that go to one's own site, affiliated businesses, or elsewhere as long as it's relative to the post. This seems to be the norm everywhere for all forums regardless of central topic.
What if instead of linking directly to the tutorial website from the post, the tutorial was first posted as a link in the "FCPX How To Tutorials" forum and then linked to that post here at FCP.co? This would help beef up "FCPX How To Tutorials" forum and create an in-direct workaround.
It would be nice if an agreed upon solution could be found as long as the material is relevant to the specific poster's question. I do always find the external links helpful as long as they are relevant. I'm not biased in any way to any of the tutorial vendors as long as the material is relevant and good (Youtube, MacProVideo, Ripple Training, Larry Jordan, Lynda.com, all have great free and paid stuff), a mention with a link does seem to be reasonable.

(Peter, This is actually the 2nd time now in the last couple of days where I've posted purposely in the "FCP.co Site News and Suggestion Area" forum and it ended up here- Dave)

Dave,
I think there has to be a line drawn to separate what is acceptable linking and what is just chucking a URL on to get traffic.
As the forum becomes more and more popular then I think he rules have to be toughened up so that it continues to operate in a way that everybody benefits.
I'll post a 'Posting Guide' up in the next few days, however from now on replies to links with just a URL or a one line comment will be deleted.
