Love This Site... But...

Could we please have some kind of an eye catching alert that pops up when we log in & have a new private message in our inbox?

Messages are really buried deep here & you have to actually go digging for them before you know your inbox status. Other sites have a flashing brightly colored icon with a number. This is desirable, as here at fcp.co some private messages sent are not seen for ages.... too easily overlooked.

I agree, a better notification would be better plus email notification when new personal messages arrive.

Now I see a little bell with a red flag "1" for one private message... either that was my suggestion immediately implemented... or was it there all along & I missed it?

Most likely those little alerts were there before but I never noticed them, now I know why, you still have to click on private messages to see the alerts. It would be nice to have that alert (flashing even) shown in every window once we're signed in.

Reason being, I'm still finding members I've PM'd don't get the messages for eons... nobody thinks to look there, because we're enamored by all the interesting posts, features, articles & even adverts here at FCP.co... many of which... dare I say ... are flashing.

I only see alerts if I go to my own profile page, which I never have any need for. I never know when someone has messaged me (and I get a good number here), and I never think about my own profile page. Does anyone look at anyone else's profile pages here? I'm always very late getting back to folks, cause I don't know they messaged me for days or weeks. No red flag for me anywhere besides the profile page.
