Anyone else notice the on screen controls for the new Beta of Photoshop are very similar to the controls in Motion and FCPX? Also the color scheme for video editing is the same as FCPX.

I was thinking that. The video timeline also seems to take more from After Effects than Premiere. Could this be an early sign of Adobe tightening up their media related apps integration ready for a Premiere/After Effects dump but with a better easing in than Apple's FCP 7 to X?

Actually, the interface I would compare to Pixelmator.

Magnatic Timeline.

On-screen controls.

Photo adjustments look and act like Aperture (and iPhoto).

Text editing looks like Pages.

And PS fanboys are raving about a magnetic timeline now, after bitch about it in FCP X. They now have to learn tons of new keyboard shortcuts and features that they may as well be learning a whole new app, and are talking about how exciting it will be to learn. But bitched about the same thing in FCP X.

Some people's children... ugh...

Ben, my first thought was that PS6's interface looked so awfully familiar to me. Seems FCP X had a bigger impact on Adobe an Co. than they might want to confess.

I would say Lightroom then Aperture or iPhoto.
Well toad Apple is not looking at the competitions functions and tools. :(
Be cool so some updating and adding in the tool area in Motion. Keep my fingers crossed.
