Here's the full transcript. Should hopefully once and for all quell "Apple has abandoned pro users" BS mostly.
Schiller/Federighi/Ternus Interview
Personally, Johnny Ive should go, IMHO. Good looks should never be a replacement for powerful performance and longevity (upgrade-ability). Love what these guys had to say. Looking forward to the future.
BTW, any thoughts about a pro app update for NAB?

c'mon, Ben, get serious!
Ive was THE force transforming a niche computer manufacturer to the biggest electronic company ever, the (Jeff Goldblum voice) 'no step 3' internet-machine, the 1000-songs-in-your-pocket, the Starbucks-workbench, the StarTrek tablet, a hand wrist-commuicator Dick Tracy would dream of, etc etc etc.
I say: he HAD already left the company - any presence at Apple Events the last two years? Just xmas-trees, fashion shows, stuff.
He will make a walk-thru, when AC II will be officially open, his <pun ahead> biggest project, (Ive's British voice)"the diminishing of the doorsteps was a gauntlet to craftsmanship, the lights in the cellar adopt outside light-temperature, …" yaddayadda and that's it, infinite sabbatical.
His absences at keynotes, at this very MacPro event, no more 'in white limbo lectures' for years, his appearances at wot events??, leakage of talents of his crew, his zero-influence on UX-nightmare iTunes, that loopy coffee table book - no, the last remaining alter ego of SJ is not allowed to leave the company ever, but, IMHO is already gone.
… and he IS a loss for Apple.
<duck and running away>

There's always need for updates, nothing is 100% completes. Lots of bug fixes needed, some vital features still missing...
But its good Apple went out of their way to make public statements, yet again, about being committed to the pro market.
