DELETED FCPX PROJECT - NEED HELP!!!

Hello, I made a BIG BIG BIG mistake!

I dropped a FCPX project to the trash and empty'ed it! But it's a project I have to deliver in 7 days!!!
PLEASE can anybody help me how to rescue it???

A project, or a library?
If you deleted a project from a library, you can try opening a backup of that library - FCP X saves backups automatically, by default inside your Movies folder, in a folder called "Final Cut Backups". Each has a timestamp. Try the newest before you deleted.

If you actually deleted a library, as in moved the library file to the trash in the Finder, and emptied, then it depends - if the media was external, still the backup library may save you. If you deleted the media as well, then only possibly some recovery software may be able salvage the files from your drive. Stop using the drive immediately, and look for professional recovery software. It will cost you, and there are no guarantees.

Thank you for the reply. God bless I had the raw material on a backup drive but the project was deleted completely. I ran Disk Drill and backed up some of the footage and the .fcpevent files but can't rebuild a project from it. So I ended up editing everything again from scratch!

You did not have a backup in the FCPX backups folder?

No, it was a fresh machine and an external hard drive. No chance. But it's ok now!
