never saw such a relaxed Larry (ok, that was a day after finding a new partner for his website and business), but a very nice, never boring side-by-side of Premiere and FinalCut..

no 'pastoral' speech, promised!
lots of jokes, lots of kiddin' about nomenclatura...

... and again Larry's Law, no more than 3000 clips per Lib (??) - which was widely objected on this board.
Anyhow, spend an hour with that!

Larry's target audience is beginners, and as such he tends to over simplify a lot, which one does for beginners. But there are some points I would technically, strongly argue he got wrong. But then, Larry and I target different audiences. But for a first time introduction, well done for the most part. But he does present a couple of interesting analogies.

FCPX is geared towards optimized media? Really? How so? And that 3K clip limit, yeah, he needs to get over that. I know several broadcast and film projects proving that wrong.

Interesting, but the comparisons of these two, IMHO, are a waste of time. Avid, FCPX, PPro, Grassvalley, etc, just pick what you like, cause which NLE you wish to use, in Larry's own words, "nobody cares".
