FCPX - Independent Feature Film

Hi all,

Well Wishes, an independent comedy (in the vein of an old-Hollywood farce) releases on iTunes May 10th. It is now available for pre-order at the following link. Well Wishes will be available later this year on an as yet unannounced streaming site and various VOD platforms, but iTunes is the only place one can receive deleted scenes and extra content:

The film was cut completely in FCPX with a very lean post team - one editor, no assistants, a colorist at Technicolor, and a small team of sound re-recordists. The film had a highly successful festival run, where we took every opportunity to extoll the virtues of FCPX. We were lucky enough to garner several offers. Well Wishes simply would not have turned out the same way without FCPX and the program made believers of many skeptics through the years.

I'd like to extend thanks to FCP.co and the many users that chimed in through the months for workflow suggestions and help. T Payton and Ronny Courtens were particularly helpful and patient along the way, but thanks to all who offered their time and advice. Thank you in advance if you choose to purchase or rent the film, and please feel free to spread the word!

Synopsis: After losing his job on a coin-toss, Miles (Shane Callahan) concocts a fantastical plan to get rich by harvesting coins from wishing fountains. Aided by his friend Jack (Cullen Moss) and a gentle vagrant (Don Baker), his journey leads to the American highway and an indebted traveler (Anna Stromberg) who challenges his notions of wealth and true happiness. Equal parts satirical comedy, gentle drama, and road-film, Well Wishes is a wildly enjoyable American tall-tale—about change.

Nice work!
