No I am not angry, I am not sure, frustrated maybe that I am not getting my message through clearly enough, and that would be my fault, my issue, I see things in a way maybe many do not, and as a result they may not, rather they DO not agree with what I am saying.
I am that kid forever hated in his town for asking a great question, and the townsfolk realizing what fools they had been, turned on this kid for merely observing something the kid assumed everyone could see.
You all know what I am talking about, I see things Apple is not doing as strange, the change of strategy of the "in action" website from video and text to 100% and using way way too many words on a long essay that scrolls down and down. Too many words.
The previous iteration of this website with the well crafted video and one in particular, just around 180 seconds long, was the one video I could see the use of FCP, that was the BBC video.
I invested life savings into a hunk of junk macbook pro, the nvdia graphics card problem laptop, and Final Cut Studio 2, as I could see from the BBC video, not the text, the video the app in action, in the studio, and on a laptop, editing on a train platform, OMG wow, I could do that, and being at that time a tv news video editor, with my broadcaster soon to migrate to Final Cut Studio 2, what a revelation.
So I spent my life savings, bought the box, damn heavy, 5000 pages of manuals and 10 or so disks, taking more than half a day to install, begged my mom for more money, freelancing for the broadcaster here does not pay very well.. I bought all the peachpit books, and learned to edit on final cut studio 2.
It was the video, repeat video, moving pictures, with sound, omg talkies in the early 21st century, editing on a portable computer, anywhere I could find power, or on battery, this was manna from heaven.
Now I go to the same page in April 2016, and too many words and no video, no talking pictures, why why why...
This video sold me and really it is needed, so others can see the power, reading does not convey the same power as a 180 second .mov file can.

Justine, we understand your issues very, very clearly. There is no misunderstanding. Most of us just see you as not understanding the reality of the computer industry. I'm not trying to bully, I'm simply respecting your opinion, and being very honest right back. But hearing the same rant over and over gets tiring and won't change anything.
The various departments at Apple operated independently. The marketing group for pro apps has basically nothing to do with the marketing group for the OS, or the group for iOS devices. So comparing them, well, not realistic.
As for video, well, "read", it is healthier for you. Those videos cost a lot to produce. I know you'll argue Apple has money to burn. But that is only because they are frugal with their money. Rich folks are tight wads, which helps them become and stay rich. But that's the reality. All your rants won't change it, and we all understand you want videos on the In Action Page. But none of us can change the, Apple is doing what they do, and again, the repetitive negativity wears on our nerves. Get over it, accept what you can't change.
Geez...
Back to the OP, I guess Apple is not on the NAB schedule, or any other schedule, except "when it is awesome, and works correctly, and stable" schedule Which I for one am glad they are doing.
FYI, topic of MIUCH conversation at NAB/FCP Exchange this year, are the overwhelming number of FCPX users who want things to be one button, rather than learn to use the existing tools to get work done on a professional level. Wish I had a penny for every time I heard the comment "The folks bitching about lack of features really don't know how to use what's there on an in-depth professional level." I didn't make that up, just repeating an often heard phrase. Food for thought.
If feature films and TV shows can be done with FCPX as it is today, well, I'm happy. I'm doing work. I'm running post on a new reality TV show that from DIT to delivery is pure FCPX, never leaves the app. I'm making money, working, and what the future brings, eh, I can wait. I'm not concerned. The FCPX development team is on a very good road and the future will be very bright.
And if you don't like FCPX, go use Avid, then tell me what REALLY frustrates you...
I have to hire an editor right now. If someone tells me "reading" something is to much, they'd rather see a video about it, I assume they're not well educated, lazy, and conclude they will never work for me. My editors must read, a lot. "I'm a visual learner" is bull, everyone learns using all sensory input, so go away, I won't hire you with that attitude. Just saying...
(Before you contact me for a job, I've just hired my editor, he goes through a novel a month "reading".)
