Microphones: Zoom or Tascam?

I currently have a Zoom H4n and am looking to upgrade. Here's what I like and dislike about the H4n:

PROS:
-Pretty good sound quality from the built-in mic.
-Can mix stereo inputs into a mono recording which is fantastic for dialog.

CONS:
-Can randomly delete files on power-down unless you're using certain SD cards. Unfortunately those cards do not include anything modern. This rarely happens but even once is unacceptable.
-Takes forever and a day to boot up.

I tried the Zoom H5 and didn't care for its sound quality. Much too much treble and I don't want to have to EQ every single clip of dialog I record. It also cannot mix to mono and I don't want to have to do that manually to every clip I record in the video editor. However I did like the quick booting time. I have not tried the Zoom H6, however.

So would the Zoom H6 or a Tascam be able to meet my needs? I've never tried Tascam.

A good mic, iRig, iPhone.

But for an all in one, I got to work with someone using the H6 last week and it was pretty nice.

A tough decision that I had to make a couple of weeks ago. Went for the Tascam DR-70 finally. Mostly because of it's form factor it integrates much nicer into the rig and was quite a bit cheaper. Plus it offers a nice slate function I don't think the Zoom has. Batteries and SD card are also easier to reach when in use.

Soundwise from what I read both are equally good. My results so far are really nice. Definitely much better than just hooking the mic up to the GH4. Also when you compare the same recording (in tascam vs in camera from tascam) the Tascam gets really better results due to 48kHz wave recording.

If you want to use mostly the inbuilt mics (which I hardly ever do) I read that the Zoom due to its changeable capsules offers more possibilities and better stereo effect.

I am happy so far.
