Need advice: most light weighted tripod .. ? was created by Karsten Schlüter
Yes, I know: tripod AND lightweight is some sort of contradiction :pinch:
Situation: a friend travels around Germany, giving 150 shows a year. He would like to add short clips to his FaceBook account, documenting his tours...
Camera: iPhone 6 + some 'clamp' giving a standard 1/4" connection
GorillaPod: yes, on shopping list
selfie-stick: verboten!!! :lol:
tripod...?
any ideas, suggestions...?
should mention: he's solo, no second person avail ... so, monopod is no option.
Thanks in advance!

Carbon fiber tripods are strong, stable, lightweight.

I love this thingie for my iPhone 6:
www.studioneat.com/products/glif
Does your friend have solid ground on his tour or is he outdoors? There are some monopods out there that can unfold 3 very little feet to be used as a make-shift tripod. They can be more than enough for lightweight stuff like GoPro or smartphone. Something like this:
www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/687349-RE...luminum_Monopod.html
Good luck!

@Ben: carbon
Obvious... but haven't found its way on our list .... Thanks!
@Overturf:
Glif, yeah! I love my "pistol grip, mini tripod, tripod adapter :
This one from Cullmann has an interesting folding mechanism:
Cullman Magic 2
Monopds with 3 extensions... know that as 'Chicken Leg" ... really!!
I guess, not for hands free purposes....

I'd rather not put my full rig on one hands free but for the iPhone it's really sufficient.

So, 'Chicken Leg' has, in this case. a double meaning - those tripods look like a chicken leg, and I shouldn't be a chicken using it .... :silly: (sorry, my breed of humor).
I love monopods, very versatile, allow surprising 'effects' (jib-like, dolly-like movements) - come on our test-list ...
Got another hint: Sirui Traveler, in a carbon edition (<< German amazon, the pics demoes its options) ....
GorillaPod, MonoPod, CarbonPod ... think, enough options.
Thanks everybody for your suggestions!
