The German Photo Industry Association (do we still have a photo industry, really?) has published some numbers of sold devices in toto

Sorry, the marketing blah blah is in German, but on the very low end of site is al link to a pdf with graphics, which isn't too difficult to decypher..

Compared to 2011, numbers are axed by 50%.
And would be even less, if not action-cams are bought like crazy.

What sitill increases: smart phones.

But DSLR is on its way to get extincted.

Many years ago, lil' Karsten using iMovieHD5, I was told by some insider, iMovie was the less used (used!) app in iLife. I was shocked. And learned: not everybody is keen on editing as me. "As taped to screen" seems to be still the usual procedure in the hobbyiist niche .....
