Admit it. Do you use your phone camera ever? was created by Don Rumsey
The best camera is the one you have. Right? I have other DSLR cameras however my iPhone 6 films at 120 and 240 fps. So a fast moving project I have could seriously take advantage of it. The phone will be locked down on a tripod and be a part of a multi cam shot focusing on some quick draw shooters. Sure there are other cameras more suitable to the task however the cost quite a bit. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has overcome the stigma of using phone cameras in their pro shoots.

I've done it - used my iPhone on a couple of projects. However, it's been mostly for "effect" rather than as a replacement for the RED camera that is primary camera we use. For me, it's not so much about "overcoming the stigma" as you say or the snobbery of using it as a capture device but rather the limited lens option available for it.
I made film recently and used the iPhone in conjunction with the RED and Canon 5D - and used the apps Supra8 and Precorder with the iPhone - to get the look/effect I was going for.
To me, It's like folks who still long for using a Mitchell BNC to shoot a film - great camera in its day and no fault, no foul if that's what you want - it's just the wrong side of history.

I use it for weddings. It's only for the close up shots of the rings. The macro lens on iphone 5 does a great job getting those real nice close up shots. It's only in their wedding video for about 2 seconds, but it makes a big difference.

We've been using tons of iPhone video for a couple of years now, starting with the iPhone 5. The 6 captures really great quality video. iPhone and GoPro are vital tools in our arsenal.
