(Xmas, time pulling out hardware in use just once a year, "oops, recharger tells, battery dead, kaputt, nix")
Used that trick meanwhile three times, no guarantee it will work for YOU, but here it does marvel:
In use here some 'intelligent' charger, but some batteries are just drained-off beyond zero; then, my charger says 'null', no way to reactivate that piece. Bad news, when a) shops are closed, b) the 'good ones, expensive Eneloops' from Sanyo are involved. :woohoo:
Read that trick on some other fora:
Put the dead battery into the fridge, the ice compartment… freeze it.
After a day or two, wipe-off any condense water before putting it back into charger - tadaah!
Charger notices some miniVolts and starts to charge!
… funny enough: as a kid, I learned, putting battery onto the radiator gives some extra minutes; for rechargeables it seems to work in the opposite direction,-
(and me stupid missed for a year my black eneloops - in my flashlight!
Who'd have thought that?! :silly: )
