Which Vision Mixing Software...??? was created by Feral Media
Hi all,
Strictly speaking this isn't an FCPX question but I thought if anyone can answer this it'll be you guys.
I'm working on a project where I'll be filming people bungee jumping using a GoPro to capture the action. The client wants me to do mini edits (using FCPX) and upload them to the participants social media but also loop these edits with indents on to a big screen and all without any interruption when adding the newer footage. I imagine there will some kind of vision mixing software that i could use but everything I've seen looks to be either too expensive or hugely complex considering how simple my needs are. Can anyone suggest anything?
Many thanks.

Your needs are far from simple. You'd want some digital signage management software for the looping playback. Or learn to code your own scripts. There is no really simple, easy way to do what you want. They will have to invest in some serious digital signage software.

Thanks for your inout, ive completed the job now and it went really well, you'll probably be surprised to hear that I ended up using iTunes, as it was the only thing I could find that would do the job.

So exactly how did you get iTunes to work? That sounds like a very creative solution.

I linked to a 160 inch external display via an hdmi cable, set up a play list in iTunes, set the view to 'pop out' and dragged it across to the second display, then set the playlist to repeat and the videos to looping. It let me drag and drop live edited video files from the primary desktop without disrupting the play. Worked perfectly.
