I've been using Pixelmator for a good while now. I've not touched Photoshop since Adobe's licensing/registration got so screwed up it won't run on my laptop anymore, although I have a legal license for it.
Pixelmator has a much nicer and easier GUI than PS's outdated one. It costs a fraction of the money. App Store download, no discs or serial numbers to keep track of. Powerful, tons of user support, tons of tutorial videos on their own site, most by end users themselves, so no searching YouTube then wondering if what you're seeing is correct. Yes, I'm a huge Pixelmator user/supporter.

Yeah, I have Pixelmator and it does a good job, at a very affordable price.
Lots of good video tutorials available to get you up and running.
Just seen this update includes new 'pen' tools - very cool free update (the lack of proper drawing tools was the only disappointment with the original version).
