There is a LOT of activity on this forum, IMHO. But yes, there are others. You'll probably find myself and others here on them, also. Apple has their own user forums for FCPX, Motion, Compressor, etc. macProVideo.com has one. There are 3 or 4 on Facebook. D a search, they're out there, but no better than here, I think.

I agree with Ben this is the most active forum dealing with FCPX, along with Apple's own help forum. Be careful with cross-posting on different forums at the same time. A lot of people do not like this and will not respond if they see you are cross-posting. Having a little patience is much better ;)

Having been a member here for over a year & a half, as well as extensive web exploration on these topics, I can confidently state that FCP.co is the best site of this type, hands down.

I've yet to see a single question go more than a couple of hours without a prompt response containing a level of expertise which is accompanied by clear patient explanations. All without the condescending elitist geek speak of some sites I've frequented.

The cordial atmosphere here is rarely ruffled & thus the moderation is only what's necessary. Other sites go overboard with heavy handedness.

Essentially, it's all you need on the Mac movie mindset matched with an amiable setting.

Why would you go anywhere else?

There are some editing related sections on other Video & Film Forums, a number of which usually have FCPX specific areas - DVXuser for instance. More often than not you get a lot of Apple Bashers, or FCPX bashers that helpfully tell you to buy a PC or buy Adobe.

This forum seems to be the most focussed, and friendly.

the only strange thing here is the weird "white letters on dark-grey background-layout", it hurts my eyes if I read a lot.

Agreed, the color schemes are very hard on the eyes. I find private messages to be extremely difficult to deal with. A professional design make-over wouldn't hurt.

To parrot a few of the other posts, this forum is probably the most active resource for FCPX related stuff. (I don't notice much FCP Legacy related posts here, but I'm usually not looking for them)

I've cross-posted posts a couple of times on different forums and my suggestion would be to post one one board, see if you get a response and then post to another forum if you aren't finding the feedback you're looking for.

I don't recommend posting the same question on different boards at the same time as your standard practice

BTW what do you need help with?

The only questions I've seen here which don't stir an immediate response are those which are confusing. If English isn't the poster's first language, or they have difficulty articulating exactly what it is they're trying to say, then potential responders are stuck in an awkward limbo. If nobody responds to your question, perhaps consider rephrasing it.

Have to agree, the text color for the private messages is very nearly invisible, & an extremely tedious exercise trying to write in that ridiculous little box in a ghost font. However, I've spoken with Peter on this matter, he's fully aware of the problem & I'm sure will tend to it when time allows.

The main message area here... I guess it kinda grows on you after a while, because the white text on 50 shades of grey doesn't really bother me.
