Can you recommend me a video light for my dslr, 5Dmk3?

I'm shooting in both complete darkness, and in low light condition where I have to use ISO 3200 and 6400 with maximum f/2. I want around f/5-6.

Want to use a light a can attach on top of my 5D.

What do you recommend?

Go to ebay and search for "312 LED"

You will see two versions one is 321a (daylight) and 312as (bicolor)

I have the 312a (daylight) version. I like it a lot I have three of that :)

Does the light fill the room, or does it point and center the light where you point?

Possible to use something like this: biltema.no/no/Bygg/Belysning-og-lamper/A...eidslampe-LED-38384/

It's around $30.

The one I mentioned is for pointing at the target, just like many dedicated camera lights. I mentioned them because you said you want the light to attach to your 5D and that LED lights came in my mind.

If the lights are going to be static then consider what I do. I use four 40W CFL (not tungsten) bulbs with 2 dual bulb holder with reflective umbrella (to diffuse the lights) on light stands.. They are fixed and not going to be moved in the room. Cost me around $100 total (thanks to eBay).

I want a smooth light which doesn't give an impression of spot light, like the one you get when you're on stage.
I want the light to fill the subject. Not center which a flash light gives me.

Don't know how to explain.

The easiest way is to mount it on my camera, but if a light mounted on the camera doesn't give any good result I have to go with another solution.

Hm, sounds like you are looking for omni-direction lights. At this moment all I can think of is using a table/floor lamp or something like that with super bright bulb
