I think its funny that when FCPX came out at 300 dollars everyone said "it doesn't cost a lot so it must not be professional"
And a a few years after the other editors(avid, adobe) have been dropping their price. So i guess that makes them less professional right? going by the industry's way of thinking.

Its only going to be so long. Phone calls, text messages etc. etc, etc. All software is free, or will be very soon.

Actually, I'll take that statement further. Hardware too.
It wasn't that long I had to pay a decent financial amount to get myself a mobile phone. Those days are long gone. Hardware is going to be free too.
An 18 month contract for an iPad, we have it already.
