I stumbled upon this Kickstarter project

3D models and compositing with F/X in a video editing environment.
Four more days to go for funding.
If they pass funding goals, more goodies.

Well, we are kinda all about FCPX here, but that being said, I can definitely see the advantages of having particles, 3D models, & compositing, etc.
However, there's just no way this thing will have the capabilities for the editing side like FCPX has, not to mention the hundreds of 3rd party developers now on board, a number that's growing daily.
So, my wish list is that FCPX will also add the missing features that HitFilm offers. Otherwise, we have to export to HitFilm just to do some things we can't do in Motion. But then most people would take that into After Effects or ZaxWerks for those missing FX components. Even the spokesman they brought in to pitch this thing is a heavy advocate for AE over at ... I think it's VideoHive...?
Anyway, what I'm getting at is, these guys have a nice inexpensive package that does a few things we can't... yet. However, things are growing quickly, Apple has a lot of powerful developers, a ton of cash & plenty of momentum. Wasn't it just a few months ago that everyone was buzzing about a new total package for editing, FX & finishing... Smoke 2013, which is surely 10 times as robust & feature laden as HitFilm. Yet here we are a scant few months later & the smoke's evaporated, all I'm hearing about are more & more big projects being done on FCPX.
Hey, I'll give this thing a trial when its done, but Apple's been good to me, I'm sticking with what I know. Also the progress this program's made in the past year is noteworthy, coming from the butt of jokes & industry ridicule to winning Emmys & gaining studio acceptance. The transformation is encouraging & inspiring.
HitFilm has hit their funding goal, so we'll soon see how they deliver. Until then, who's going to be able to break our grip to a magnetic timeline?
Not even Ironman can.

I'm really interested in hearing what Windows users who've already had a lot of time with this app to say about it. Is it a real pro level app, or a hobbiest level thing?
