Hello! My name is Dan and I am new to the world of editing/FCPX. I own a copy of FCPX, motion and compressor. I am just putting my hand out there saying, hello. I've taken a basic course in editing and so far so good. I am looking for additional MUSTDO information! If anyone has advice, I would appreciate any experience! Well, I'll be seeing everyone....later!

Welcome aboard, Dan. You would do well to study this site, read all the threads, especially the Tutorial sections, as well as those devoted to questions & answers. Soon you'll be creating your own unique projects inside FCPX.

Have fun

:)

Hey Dan, I agree with Trix 110%. When I first started it was here, on this site, that I learned a lot and also got some very cool free plug ins. Hang around and don't feel like you can't ask a newbe question. Private message me if you need to and remember, never stop learning. Also, Ben that is on here, knows of some great training tutorials. Welcome! :cheer:

MacBreak Studio (always posted here) and the video section of macProVideo.com/HUB are great resources for short, free tutorials. I also have some free video tutorials now up at ArtBeats.com//video_tutorials for Motion and FCP X (their first). As long as you've done a formal training first. My recommendations for that are the "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro X", "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro X Advanced Editing", which both are the hands-on courses we teach as Apple authorized training (the classroom experience is very valuable, too), or Ripple Training, or macProVideo. I've gone through about everything online now, and these three are the best in terms of accessibility, technical accuracy, technical completeness, ease of use, and additional information about editing and post-production that is relevant, practical, accurate.
