See

for info regarding shutter speed and why the 2x frame rate gives you a filmic "180 degree shutter" look.

Hello!
Have gained some more knowledge, but I haven´t figured out why DSLR´s don´t have autofocus during filming.
Have been filming some with my 5Dmk3, and I don´t really need autofocus(I´m getting better at manually do it), but why does a camcorder have AF and a DSLR don´t?

Videocameras traditionally had an integrated lens that was designed specifically for video, and had the necessary motors for doing fast focussing required for video.
DSLR's are designed for photography, as are the lenses.
If you ever get a chance to hold a professional video camera lens designed for a DigiBeta Camera for instance, you will be surprised by the size and weight.

Ahh, so easily said, autofocus makes the camera heavier?
When a take photo, it seems like the 5Dmk3 is slow. It´s like the shutter speed is long - but it isn´t. The Ti4 was faster. Has this anything to do with the settings?

You have to set your shutter speed. It can be slow (for long exposures, like taking photos at night) or fast (for taking photos of fast moving objects in the sunlight).
Press the AF/Drive button (top right) and then scroll the big wheel on the back you will change your drive mode; if you put it to H you will get up to 6 shots per second; which is very fast indeed.

Also, silent mirror mode is a bit slower than regular. Check your settings.

BTW: I have to say the 5Dmk3 is a complicated camera. I am still trying to get to grips with all of the autofocus parameters (for taking still photos).
This is the first time, in a long time, that I have been forced to start reading the manual from front to back.
The Canon Rebel cameras like the T3i are a lot more user friendly for basic stuff.

This slow I´m talking about has nothing to do with my shutter speed. It´s the same wether I´m slow or fast.
It takes about 1 second after I´ve taken the picture until it shows in the live view. I can shake the camera, without affecting the picture. So the picture has been taken.
Drive didn´t change anything. Still slow. But perhaps it should be like this?
It might have something to do with my memory card? The red light is on right after I´ve taken the picture until it shows.
I have a SDHC 95 mb/s.
Couldn´t find any settings about the silent mirror mode.

If I want the 2:35.1 look to my films, how can I add some mark in the viewfinder when filming, to make sure I get everything inside the frames?
