Automatically counting persons in a movie?

I´m making a movie with a lot of kids, and I need to make sure the kids appear approximately equally in the movie.
Up on till now, I have gone through the hole movie and counted them.

Is there a software, or anything integrated in FCP X that counts faces and give me a number of each kid?

If it's not able to actually give you a running tally of the little angels you'll probably have to use a notepad.
