I've been using Ativa and Kingston quite well for awhile now. I know folks happy with Sandisk. Not sure there's a huge difference.

Careful with SanDisks from these no-name eBay dealers. Buy them from a reputable source (B&H, Adorama,...)

What about purchasing them from Staples or BestBuy?
What is your opinion of the following brands?
Which Sandisk - Ultra, Extreme, ExtremePro?
Is a Sandisk that writes 30 MB/S 200x fast enough to shoot HD video with the T3i?

The "Class" number is how fast it is. If it's Class 10, it's plenty fast enough. I have two Kingston 32GB cards, and have never filled either one up. Doesn't matter where you buy them, as long as it's not on eBay or Craigslist. Staples and BestBuy are safe places to purchase. But what they carry are normally lower class cards. See what they have in stock. You can usually get cheaper from B&H, a very long time trusted, well established, reputable reseller.

Ben,
Have you heard of any buffering issues with some memory cards?

Only if they're too slow for the camera. If you get the right "Class", that should be a non-issue.

Have either of you used and experienced a problem recording video to the Sandisk Ultra, PNY Professional and PNY Pro-Elite memory cards?
