Lightworks

I've been waiting for Lightworks to come out for the Mac for quite a while, but after watching the tutorials, my first thought was "meeh". It sure looks looks nice, but it is even more clumsy than PremierePro.
Ok, it's for free (or dirt cheap), but what does it actually add in new stuff? It's just another same old, same old. What's the difference to AVID, FCP Classic, Premiere, Vegas, Edius or even Cinerella or Open Movie? I haven't seen anything that makes that software shine... besides its price.

I understand that it is only a side business for Easy Share, but still....

I've been holding off on my judgements on it until I actually put it through its paces. Following the FCPX launch I learned that I do myself no favors by dismissing an app solely by screenshots and demos. I gotta use it before I can trash it.

I'm actually very excited about Lightworks. I want to teach folks how to create their own media using low cost/low resource tools and I'm hoping an app light Lightworks fits the bill.
