Why does Compressor default to the ACTIVE tab when opened?

Am I missing something? Every time Compressor opens to the ACTIVE tab which seems really dumb to me, especially when I have nothing active (and couldn't, since I just opened the app). Why not default to the CURRENT tab? It's been like this forever and I'm wondering if there is some super secret Apple reasoning that's lost on me. That's like opening a video file and it always opens to the middle of the video, and you have to move the playhead each and every time.

Compressor starts up in the last state that you left it when you close it. So likely, after using the app you are exiting in the Active tab. Just click on Current before you close the app and that is where it will start next time it's opened.
