Having issues with a TV station we've never dealt with before. Trying to figure out how to create a Compressor preset for the following specs.

SPECS FOR VIDEO FILES
Format: MPEG2
Codec: .gxf (XDCAM EX) is preferred,
also accepted: .mov, .mxf

HD
Video Bitrate: 35mb/s
Frame Size: 720p HD 1280x720
Video Frame Rate: 59.94
Audio Compression: PCM
Audio Rate: 48 kHz
Audio Channels: Stereo

I just went to check on my virgin El CAP , FCPX 10.3.3 install and I can directly export a master file set to XDcam EX.
Most Broadcast XDcam cameras use a high quality flavor of MPEG2 codec.
XDCAM EX format, HQ mode* : 8-bit / MPEG-2 Main Profile at High Level, Inter- frame Long-GOP / 35 Mbits/sec

The .gfx is a 3D file format so I guess this could be an error ...

Finally it seems you can meet the specs directly from FCPX sharing a .mov master file , you might have to be at the right frame rate (29.97) to have the setting available.

Has to be through Compressor, as I have to embed closed caption files.

Create new Quicktime setting , change default video codec to XDcam EX required specs, then use it with your .scc file applied to job.

I did that, submitted a 5 minute test, seeing how it works out. Compressor needs some serious updates to let us broadcasters use it more easily.
