Hi,
I have DV 640 x 480i footage in AVI files I have to edit and export in 1080P. They are conferences and I want the lower thirds and the client's logo to be in full HD. Thing is, the image becomes flattened. Is there a way out of this ? Is there a better way to do it ?

Also when I import the 640 x 480i AVI file in FCPX , it shows up as 720 x 480 footage (flattened). I have to transform it in Quicktime first and then I can import it as 640 x 480i. Compressor exports it as 720 x 480 as well. Strange...
