Just upgraded to Compressor 4.3. Noticed in the release notes it says 'New DVD disc templates give you more menu and background options.' and 'New options for DVD authorizing let you loop back, add motion menus, and customize menu images.'

Anyone know of any tutorial or explanations on this? When I go to send out of FCPX to DVD, it gives me the same options I always use to get. When I go into Compressor, there doesn't seem to be an option to burn a DVD, just to export the Dolby Digital .ac3 file and the MPEG-2 for DVD .m2v file. Am I missing something here?

Yeah, that's a line held over from a privious update. It's referring to the built in menus having mation backgrounds. There's nothing new to this in this update. That line needs to be removed.

I just checked, and whether or not it was part of this update, they have changed it since the last time I made a DVD. The DVD templates now exactly match the Blu-ray templates, and they didn't before.

As for compressor, you may be missing something, as you can burn a DVD by dragging the whole 'Create DVD' setting to your file instead of the individual parts and/or selecting your file and changing the 'When done' parameter to 'Create DVD'

Ah! New to Compressor, not to FCPX. Makes sense. Shows how often I do DVDs.
