I have an PNG image sequence that I wanted to convert into a quicktime movie using compressor. The image sequence has an alpha channel, yet when I try to create a ProRes4444 quicktime movie using compressor, the resulting quicktime movie is rendered without alpha.

I'm using Motion as a means to work around this and I get my quicktime movie with alpha just fine that way but I was hoping to use compressor as I wanted to use its batch capabilities.

Can anyone share their insight on this?

This is an issue Compressor has had since before version 4.0.

Disappointing but I figured it might be. I'd been using After Effects to render my image sequences into .movs so I hadn't really used it much in compressor.

Thanks Ben!

I've always used Motion, or QT Pro 7. Either of those just seem to be faster and easier than Compressor anyway. Although I wish Compressor worked so I could create presets/droplets.
