25p Timeline in FCPX - Field dominance in Compresso? was created by frankieplus
Hi everyone..
This topic has probably been discussed to death, sorry about that. I keep getting mixed answers.
I shot and edited a project in 1920 x 1080 25p. Both footage and project settings in FCPX are 25p. Now since this edit is for DVD should I have maybe edited in an interlaced timeline instead?
SO I need to make a PAL DVD. In PAL land, interlaced footage is UPPER field first.
SO now I 'send to compressor' from my FCPX timeline and my frame rate is 25 - Do I leave FIELD DOMINANCE to progressive or do I change it to UPPER field?
--
Also the same question regarding footage shot at 1280x720 50p. Again do I set compressor to 25fps frame rate and UPPER field or should I again use Progressive field dominance?
Sorry but I'm just confused.
