Is there a best and fast way to burn a fcpx project using compressor 4 that does not degrade the quality of the finished product? Or at least the output is close enough or good enough as the original?

Assuming you're starting with HD material, then, no, there is no way to get same quality out of a DVD. You have a much lower resolution, as well as a lower bit rate.

Cuz I have searched the web and some are suggesting to export the fcpx project to pro res QuickTime so that it will be self contained then use that same QuickTime file to be compressed using compressor so that it will fit on a DVD. But some disagrees on that kind of style. I tried both but for some reason it's taking a while like more than 20 plus hours to process in compressor before it can actually be burned in a DVD. That's why I was wondering is there a way to make things more faster? Cuz 20 plus hours is ridiculous. And by only using one computer by the way cuz I don't have the luxury of working with multiple computers or even in a network. I have a MacBook Pro by the way if that Info helps in any way.

What format is your original?
What is the duration of your timeline?
Are you trying to go to standard definition DVD?

Its a mixture of SD and HD videos and still images. It's about 50 min long. Yes I'm going SD cuz there's no way I can burn HD on a single layer DVD. I was hoping to get at least the best possible output that I can get and as much as possible not to wait for more than 100 min. Cuz the last time I did a compression has an approximate 100 plus minutes of calculated time remaining before it can be burned to the DVD.

1st of all, you can't get HD video on a DVD-R. Only Blu-Ray does that, and you'd need a Blu-Ray burner and Blu-Ray media.

It was 1080 HD....because I have the impression of having a high quality source might give me at least a good or best quality output when it was compressed in DVD

I made a search on the Internet and some said to turn off the frame control...well I did a sample of that setting and to my surprise it speeded up the process. My other question is, is there a difference in quality if I turn the frame control on? I don't know the difference cuz I can't make a sample of the "frame control on" because it's taking like 50 golden years to finish ahahah!!

Yes, Frame Control gives better results. Compression is a trade off between encoding time and quality. You can't have both. I'd leave it on and just let it take all the time it wants. Your encoding times are not that unusual.
But here's where I think your quality issues are being effected. When you blow up SD video to HD size, you are losing tons of image quality. That is going to be your worse issue.
If the output is SD, I'd have created an SD Timeline and edited everything into that. You can always change your Project from 1080 to NTSC, too. You may have to tweak some frame sizes and such, but it'd save time with the encoding for DVD in Compressor.
Export a Master File as ProRes 422, take that master file into Compressor.

--so you mean it's a bad idea to click the "send to compressor" in fcpx?

For best quality it is the best choice.
For faster encodes it is the worst choice.
I'd put it all in an SD project, fix it up, and burn directly to DVD-R from the Share menu.
