Just thought I’d share this trailer for my documentary “Dreams” I made for one of Redbull’s BMX athletes a few years ago.

This documentary was shot primarily with a DVX but when it broke 3 days into my 2 week trip to Japan I finished it with an HVX, Canon XHA1, XL2, REDOne, 5D, plus many more cameras haha.
This trailer is mostly DVX with some HVX stuff.

As for post, the doc was finished in FCP6 (Studio 2) and FCP just took everything I through at it, SD, HD, 23.98, 29.97, NTSC, PAL, HDV, DVCPRO-HD, PRORES, etc. etc. etc.
Obviously some things have changed now but I don’t think I could have accomplished what I set out to do technically as easily (well it wasn’t easy but it worked) with any other NLE package at the time.

I finished in SD because thats what most of the source footage was acquired with but I think its aged fairly well…
Even though this was made a few years ago, I think I’ve improved a little since then as a “filmmaker” but I’d love to hear what you all think of this trailer.
