Updated Link - Music Video made in Final Cut Pro X

This just went live this morning. Wayne Micallef is a musician from Malta whom I am associated with through some family. He asked me to produce a music video, and here it is! Shot entirely on a Panasonic GH2 with various lenses, edited in Final Cut Pro X, color correction all within the application. Hardware-wise, this was done on my mid-09 Macbook Pro sporting 4gb of RAM and a 2.8ghz Core 2 Duo processor. I know, the bare minimum system specs. It was largely a learning experience for me. Cutting a music video in X is a very different approach than in other applications. But I really wanted to give it a fair shake on something other than a standard corporate gig as I usually do in X on a beefier desktop system. I found some assistance on these forums, specifically the ones that pointed to laying the audio track in the Primary Storyline and building the edit above that with connected clips to best maintain sync between video and audio. This was not what I did at first, and when I went to add in some shots after a later shoot, I found most of my timeline out of sync. I was ready to toss the application right in the trash bin at that point, and came to that point again when I had some clip disconnect issues that caused the application to freeze up. Again, persistence, and all was figured out. Thankfully this was not a paid gig, or I truly would be done with the program. Well, with out further delay, here it is. Enjoy. This video was rather great! I totally enjoyed it and the use of some of your camera angles projected a great sense of emotion for the shots. How long did it take you to develop this music video?

Nice video...the song is very nice too

We started planning in January, got a lot of the logistics worked out, and shot over a few weekends in February. It was really a matter of getting a few scheduling things and locations nailed down. Thanks for your comments!
