Well I've been using Final Cut Pro pretty much from the beginning but this is probably one of the bigger things I've done.
A TV hour doco on Paul Hogan. (aka Crocodile Dundee)
All filmed with a C300, 5Ds and a bunch of GOPros.
I cut most of it on my old workhorse, the MacPro 2,1 until the old girl died. Being short of cash and with no hope of obtaining a newer MacPro I borrowed an iMac (2011 vintage) and proceeded.
I have to say FCP X performed admirably. I didn't transcode just worked in Proxy mode until I was ready to grade. (All done in FCP X). There was a little bit of external graphics work done and I had to buy X2Pro to get the mix out.
But over all the edit went with a hitch. Edit passed QC Tech check first go.
For my Aussie mates. Check it out on July 1st at 8.30pm on the ABC.
