Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, wasn't sure where to put it.
I just got my GH4 last week and I was dreading importing it into FCPX because of all the transcoding that I assumed that it would require. Well - "assume makes an ass out of you and me." I needn't have worried.
The GH4's UltraHD and 4K .mov files will play on the timeline with not a red bar in sight. Not even a hiccup on my 5 year old Mac Pro with 1GB graphics card. Below is one of my UltraHD test clips. All I did to footage was make the levels as legal as I could.
