Nice work, Andreas. Your black & white looks wonderfully filmic, the locations, music, focal work, etc, all worked well. You've also created a nice playful feel, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The ambient shots like the men on the street talking, architecture, cobblestone streets, really drew us into the rich ethnic heritage of the locale.

Though I liked the opening wipe to black for the title, it felt like the train scene had little to do with the Vespa other than being another form of transportation. Contrast this with the bike pass to reveal the closing title, which fit infinitely more appropriately. Maybe the opening could have had a clever scooter related title shot. We seem to duplicate a couple of shots with the bike's logo, or following road shots which appeared too similar.

As we moved into the second half I started to long for a touch more narrative depth. For fear of it becoming redundant, I would have loved the introduction of a little story. If only portrayed in the simplest of iconic symbols. Perhaps if we had a medium shot handheld to give us a vicarious feel as we see him still sitting on the bike while chatting with a girl. They're smiling, laughing as we move in closer. Then we see him giving her his helmet to wear, final shot, they're riding off together, fade to black.

Sure, it's perfectly acceptable for a man to have a love affair with his Vespa, but there's only so far that can take him...
