100% done in FCPX. I wanted to test and to learn the program and what I could do with it. The answer? A LOT!! It's a music video in french, and an early nineties song homage. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to ask me question about it.

Lovely little film, Cobleau. I found it very enjoyable, impossible to watch without a smile. Great use of colors, costumes & playful antics. The train at the end was the perfect touch (Thomas, is that you?). Your grid effects were particularly engaging. Indeed, it did have that retro look, but after years of absence it seemed fresh & welcomed. While watching I was thinking 80's but you say 90's, I'll take your word for it. The song grows on you as it progresses, or perhaps I should say it morphs into a more appealing song as the beginning acid house sounds are not that pleasing to the ear. From about 2'30 it becomes more electro dance with a solid pop feel, I think this suits the happy frolicking sense the piece projects. Since your performers are so brightly lit with this color scheme & green screen, I'd advise using a glamor filter skin smoother plugin, especially on the closeups. It just takes the edge off (we don't need to inspect pores), making your players look a bit better, ultimately upping your value. You can see your girl at 2.09 with the pink glasses has better appearing skin smoothness with the desaturation, with the plugin you can get that level or better throughout, even during brightly lit color closeups. The tongue on the keys went on a bit too long by about a third. I also liked the colored eyes section & of course your multiplying the trio was tres magnifique!

It's been a while since we had a French song here...

Travail très impressionnant pendant votre première fois, merci du partage.

Thanks! And you're right about the skin smoother plugin: on my newest project, I use it when I have to ;)

Oh, and about the 8o's vs 90's, it's really inspired by some clips from the late 80's and early 90's so, I think you're right too!
