All,
We liked this even though it is tinged with sadness. Made with FCP7.

Very interesting, thank you Peter. Not too sad for me, merely another milepost in the march of time. A bit melancholy. Daily we're all being faced to upgrade & adapt or be left behind. Fascinating the distance that celluloid would travel around the booth, seems terribly inefficient, or prone to breakage. I recall seeing other projection booth setups in movies, & visited one briefly many years ago, don't remember such a circuitous steeplechase, but I suspect they're as varied as the films they project.
From the technical side of this documentary short, I found it covered the material in a serviceable workmanlike manner, but the focus work became so predictable (stop, rack, stop, for every shot), it became annoying. The most irritating aspect was the dialogue mic levels. That was inexcusable. Our main character faded in & out, often mumbling the ends of lines incoherently under the sound of sprockets. Charles Ford Adams (Sound Design), though commendable for selecting appropriate music, needs a good throttling & a swift kick up the backside.
