Very clever, thanks for sharing. The technical logistics for such a shoot must have been daunting. Just as I finished saying maybe TiltShift is played out, we have a perfect example of why it's not. Though I must say your resolution looked awful in full screen, even on a 15" MBP. But I'll blame that on YouTube. I thought the opening shot on the blueprints went on too long. The ripple in the coffee from one side, not as effective as the iconic version from Jurassic Park (are you curious how he did it from the middle of the cup?). Though your ripples appearing blue was a curious touch.

Probably for me, the music makes your piece. If in fact it is music. Whatever the classification, just as I was beginning to think I would be bored, you had some very amusing change-ups in the soundtrack, accompanying whimsical sounds more like cartoon effects, these matched the rhythm of the tarps flapping in the breeze, or later the ebb & flow of scaffolds. It made me smile.

Some of the earlier shots looked like a lot of guys in orange vests just standing around for most of the day. Must have been a union job...

:)

All good points. My problem here is that I have few people to bounce idease off of. I think for my next project I will post before I give to the client. Thanks for the comment.

I haven't shot anything for ages but I bought a Nikon D7000 and started playing around with time-lapse, I'm also a photographer so I ended up getting a Nikon D800 so I can continue on with my professional photography AND start to film again because the quality is actually insane as I used to use a Sony XD Cam, I've never shot on film with the exception of 35mm stills years ago before the age of digital. I think your tilt shift was perfect when used on the workers, flawless actually as quite a few photographers can't even get it right. Loved the music too.

I plan on doing a lot of time lapse and was wondering what's the best plug-in for it. For all situation and with a tilt shift. It will be predominantly night sequences, so I think I'll look into ProLens but all suggestions are welcome.

Great work I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

I am honored, thank you.

If you are really interested in timelapse you should head over to
forum.timescapes.org/

Prior to my lurking that website for months I knew almost nothing about timelapse. There is one person in particular that I became friendly with as he was quick to reply to my questions and did not demean newbies. His name is 'milapse', hence my name on their forum became 'orlapse' and it has just sort of stuck. Milapse is from Michigan and I am from the Oregon Coast. Milapse discovered the Meade motorized head and tripod, very inexpensive and extremely technical but pretty easy to use. I purchased on and immediately produced some very cool timelapse. You should check out his youtube channel,
www.youtube.com/user/milapse
lots of tutorials and very cool work. Theres another guy in Tokyo named mockmoon2000 who has done some truly inspiring timelapse work, I like his night time downtown Tokyo work the best.

Believe it or not I use a Nikon D70s for the timelapse work. It does not have an intervolometer built in so I purchased one from P-clix. It works flawlessly but the cord is easy to break so I usually use the infrared shutter release and velcro it to the lens.

Here is a link to my very first time-lapse using the Meade head and tripod as well as the pclix intervolometer.
