Auto duck?

Hey yalls,

I need the autoduck fcpx exporter and its not showing up at their site.
Anyone got any ideas?

Automatic Duck is EOL. What would you need the "fcpx" exporter for?

just want to get an omf out of fcpx.

The automatic duck exporter free download is only for Avid and FCP7. I am not aware that they ever had anything for fcpx.

Try this workaround to get omf from fcpx:

here's a screenshot of the first page of the manual for it.
It was called Pro Export 5.0. It launched when fcpx first launched, not its mysteriously gone.

X2PRO exports AAF only, doesn't it? Not OMF that I know of.

If you're going to Avid, it's all you need. If you need an OMF for some other app, it would help to know what app specifically, as they all have their little quirks for conforming.

AATranslator is now working on FCPXML stuff, too.

Typically we go out to logic or pro tools.

The Automatic Duck OMF exporter doesn't work anymore in FCP10, I just tried it to make sure.

Hi Germán,

I have sent you an e-mail with the Automatic Duck OMF transfer tool. As I said it won't work if you are running FCP10.0.4 or higher.

The only way you can export an OMF from FCP10 right now is to export your FCP1O xml to FCP using an app called Xto7 and export the OMF from FCP7.

This said, why would you need OMF anyway? ProTools, Logic, CuBase... they all accept AAF without any problems nowadays and AAF does exactly what OMF does. You can export FCP10 projects to AAF with a third-party app called X2Pro. Works perfectly.

I saw your entry at the fcp forum and I got into the situation that I'd need the Automatic Duck Pro Export 5 that is compatible with FCX. I have a little Postpro Job right now and the cutter is using FCPX…so we have the problematic issue of converting the file to .omf format. The cutter is using 10.0.2 so the plug in should still work. Would it be possible to upload the app somewhere or send it via wetransfer.com (the link that you have posted in the forum is already down). This we make the workflow a lot easier. Well I have already googled and Automatic Duck is just offering the Version 4, which is just compatible with fc7. And the version 5 is not available somewhere else in the google world=)

I would also love a copy of the Auto Duck 5.0 for FCX - I am working on a charity project video and my industry friends have offered to mix for me - if I can get them AAF files. hi everyone, this is the topic i've being looking for...
i have this problem and don't know if auto duck can be the answer...
i need to batch export a bunch of omf for a movie divided in rolls...
final cut 7 itself can't batch omf (bad for them) but everything else...
is automatic duck the answer to my problems??
