Hi,
Just wondering if I should get Hycolour Pro for colour correction ?
Are the new colour correction tools enough in FCX ?
Thanks

I would get Color Finale and Hawaiki Analyzer instead, they work great together.

The Color Board has a lot of capability and many users find it does all they need. Others prefer a different interface. I recommend trying several to see what works best for you. I actually bought Hawaiki and tried the demo of Color Finale but find that I prefer the controls in HyColour Pro over those. So, it's really personal choice.

Indeed I have been using the Color Board all day and it does quite a lot if not most of what I need.
I like the fact that HyColour Pro is right there in the Colour Board.
I looked at Color Finale and Hawaiki Analyzer. I might go there but I figure that at the moment I probably should
get a better handle on colour grading with FCX.
Thanks.

Let's also point out that since the FCPX 10.2 update, you can use the built-in "Save Effects Preset" function to save Color Finale settings as presets.

I've used HyColour for a couple of years. It's great fro basic corrections. I'm about to do a trial of Color Finale which also come with LUT Utility. You get your money's worth here. Color Finale will be great for actual grading. The two apps serve two different purposes....correction and grading.

I am indeed looking into Color finale.
I can't use it while I am in the middle of a project and have not upgraded to Yosemite.
I was tempted to upgrade also to use the new masking in FCX.
I do have full backups but Hey...Why temp destiny !
I just have to be patient !
Thanks !

You can find here all the info:
www.hyfx.tv/hycolourpro
I haven't tried it yet. I can do most of what I need in FCX.
Otherwise I might just go for resolve light or finale.

I guess it depends what you mean by "all parameters".
Maybe be simpler to just write the support at HyColour.

Yes.
It looks like it adds the settings you can change in the FCX color menu.
I like the split screen where you can see the changes without having to toggle the tiny button in FCX.
