New Audio Tracker for Live/Location Work

Just got the email last night... It's called Tracks Live.


Supports several formats, is very efficient and low latency and seems to be built on top of the Ardour engine. Worth looking into if work with multiple mics in your setup.

I wonder if they will release an iPad version. I personally would find that handy on locations as well.

Auria for the iPad has been doing this for a couple of years now. Will also read multiple inputs on an iPad from interfaces from Apogee and others. I've used it a lot on various locations and love it, and only $25.

You know, I've completely forgotten about Auria. That was as app I put on my watch list too.

Still there's something to be said about session compatibility. Having said that, I guess Garageband could be used in that context.

Still it's nice to know what the alternatives are.

GarageBand won't record multiple tracks like we're talking about with these other apps. Auria does AFF import/export, too. So even though it is iPad specific, you can get projects into PT or LPX just fine.
