DaVinci Resolve 10 FCP X XML inport problem. was created by Daniel Rutledge
I've been trying to import a fcp x XML. The interface tells me that there are some transitions that won't be imported and that the rest will be imported, but all that is created are two blank clips joined by a dissolve. The project and event folders are stored on a sparsebundle. The media is on an external drive and the projects I have tried importing consist mainly of multicam clips. The best that I can figure is that the sparsebundle is the problem, but I don't know for sure. I really need the sparsebundles a for my workflow. Is there any way to make this work?

It has a lot to do with the fact that you are using multicam clips. Resolve 9 still has issues with them and the 10 Beta is not yet up to snuff trying to bring them in. I tried to bring in a 1 hour 16 minute multicam project yesterday and all I got was the title... that's it. The rest of the project was blank. I tried it in Resolve 9 and it got most of it in except there were a few holes in my timeline. Projects with normal edits seem to come in no problem. No fix yet that I know of. They will just need to fix it with updates.
