Need help with split screen plugin please! was created by cymbalar
Hi, I am very new at FCPX. I just added a plugin in order to get a split screen. I have two clips in my event browser, both with range starts and stops that have them somewhat close together as far as when their action and audio is similar. The two clips are of the same action and audio. One camera's audio i want to keep. One I don't want to keep, but i do have to sync them up. do i do this while the clips are in the event browser or while they are in the timeline? The reason i ask is because doesn't syncing clips essentially make them a compound clip, which is what Proslice wants done to the clips after they are pulled into the timeline. Also, when do I disable the poorer audio? Thanks.

Seems I answered this on another forum last night.
- In the Event Browser, select your clips all at once (Command-click).
- In the Browser, right-click and chose "Synchronized Clips".
- This makes a specialized type of Compound Clip.
- Right-click the newly created Synchronized Clip in the Browser, chose "Open In Timeline". There you can tweak the clips for sync, crop, etc. After that...
- Select it in the Event Browser, go to the Inspector, the Audio section, towards the bottom is the "Channel Configuration" block.
- There you can switch between stereo and dual mono, turn channels on/off, etc.
