FCPX accepts a lot of formats for editing, one thing it won't do out of the box is allow you to edit in 3D. The newly released Version 4 of the Stereo3D Toolbox plugin from Dashwood Cinema Solutions brings 3D editing with custom onscreen controls to Final Cut Pro X.
