Just some assorted transitions I did in Motion 5.3 for FCPX 10.3. Mostly just having FUN while getting used to working in these newer versions. Hope someone finds them useful.

Sorry, don't understand how to open this. Says to open to a "google drive". but find no way to get it on my hard drive. Doesn't seem to allow files to be moved. Just haven't come across this way to download in the past. Thanks for your help.

Hopefully, when you click the above link to download, you should see a page from google drive with the file on it. In the upper right hand corner, there is a down arrow with a line under it. When you hover with the mouse over it, it should give you a popup message that says "download". Click this arrow, and it should download. If you are not seeing this, let me know and I will investigate further.

I have also just put the file up on Microsoft One Drive. You can try this link if the above did not work for you:

Hope this helps.

Thank you. That one works. The first one just puts me into an endless deal where it wants me to set up some account with Google and then it never seems satisfied. Just put them into FCPX and will try them out. Thanks again.

Good, glad to hear. This is a learning experience for me too. After some quick searching, Google drive link may only work if you have a google account. Otherwise they are probably wanting you to sign up, which is what it sounded like they may have done to you.

I will start using the Microsoft One Drive account, as this appears to let anyone get to the downloaded files that I set up as public. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

… Google drive link may only work if you have a google account. …

hmm? Shared files to non-googlers that way many times …

Option:
right-click on the link to gdrive, choose 'dl linked file' …

I was having the same trouble - thanks - the second link worked fine! But now I don't know what to do with the files (folders) I got my first plugins yesterday, but they came with an installer. What do I do with these folders to get them into Final Cut?

Thanks!
- Steve

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
To Install:
1. Unzip file.
2. Copy the entire folder “KBQ Sliding Transitions” into:
/Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions directory.
3. If FCPX is open, close it and re-open.
4. In FCPX you should see under Transitions, a heading called “KBQ-Sliding Transitions”.

If you do not have the directory mentioned above i.e. /Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions in your home directory, then you will need to create a new file structure to hold this, and any other plugins you download. To do that, please see this video that walks you through setting up the correct file structure:

But if you have downloaded other plugins that had an installer program, as you said, then I suspect the above file directory has already been created for you. Just need to copy the folder as I mentioned above, into that Transitions directory.

Hope this helps.
Regards, K.
