MaskBlur: OSC blurring mask was created by Pielle
This filter was built for my animation work “Italian Cult of Coffee” This is basically a variable shape mask with two kind of blur effect: "Gradient Blur" and "Soft Focus" The filter use is simple but very effective.
Lets start with a reference image and the applied filter
In the control parameters the gradient Blur is selected with 100 of amount, I suggest of don't touch it until you place the mask, in this way the procedure is easy.
This is the result with amount gradient Blur set to 5
An this is the same scene with Soft Focus effect
with this preset
A big thank to Mahoney for his articles about OSC controls ( They have taken away some doubts on the subject. )
Unzip the attachment and put the folder “MaskBlur” in User / Your name / Movies / Motion Templates/ Effects / Pielle.
