It is very rare I actually edit with ProRes, and when I do, I never have issues, so don't understand why ProRes needs a hardware encoder. I've done ProRes multicams without issues. I don't get it.

I use a Mojave MA-200 for my voice work. I highly doubt built-in mics will match that.

When I get $5K to spend, I may get one.
