I'd be curious to see how this affects two issues. Fast camera movement on the iPhone destroys the image with compression artifacts. Presumably ProRes recording will mitigate that.
Second, the iPhone always records with a variable frame rate. Filmic gets around that with a conforming step, which writes a file at a fixed frame rate. I wonder if that conforming step will take longer if you capture in ProRes? |

Doesn't seem to take longer, haven't had a chance to test it in good light yet so will try the fast movement tomorrow, on a quick shake test in the edit suite it certainly seemed better

Is ProRes already available? I thought the actual ProRes capability was coming later in the year.
