Classic SLR Viewfinder effect

Hi,

I've made an effect for FCPX that simulates a classic SLR viewfinder.
You can keyframe the focus and exposure sliders, give the needle some random fluctuation and when you activate the build out checkbox you get a flipping mirror at the end.
I'm still looking for a possibility to link the exposure needle rotation parameter to the average brightness of the underlying video, but I haven't found a way to do that yet.
There is an image unit in motion 5 that is called "Area Average" but it doesn't do what I'd expect based on its name.
So, if anyone has a clue, please let me know.

The fast black screen after the slr effect ...is part of the template? Or did you use a generator ?

Glad you like the video Labalbi. The blackout is part of the effect. It simulates the mirror blackout of the SLR and is inserted anytime you make a cut.

But how do I install it? or get it into FCP X?
Do I have to use Motion 5 or an unzip program?

You can use the effect in all versions of FCPX. It will not work in older versions like FCP7 and earlier.
